Camera History and Camera Parts

#1) Latin for dark room, first camera, tiny hole created in one wall.

#2) When Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.

#3) Joseph Nicephore added the final touch which was film.

#4) They both have film, we can still record videos now.

#5) Light passes through the lens into the camera and exposes the film.

      Program- Automatic-assist, just point and shoot.

#7) Portrait- To attempt to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting.

#8) Sports- To freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.

#9) Half Press- Aim your camera directly at the subject and gently press the shutter release button until the camera comes alive.

#10) Disabled flash. No Flash. When natural light is used

#11) Auto Flash, It will fire when the picture needs more light.

#12) To much light and the picture will be washed out.

#13)Not enough light and the picture will be too dark.

#14) Relative change in the brightness of light. (measurement)

#15) 1 stop.

#16) 2 stops.

#17) Longer exposures give much more light to the film than a 1/1000 of a second exposure.

#18) Shorter exposure.

#19) On the camera it controls light.

#20) Take away 2 stops.
